With silk flowers, we saved roughly $30 per table arrangement alone. Initially, we received quotes for $1800-2000 CAD ($1500-1700USD) from several local florists, but just couldn’t justify paying that much for flowers only to end up in the garbage. They have several beautiful silk flower arrangements that deliver the same aesthetic as real flowers. I’m having my wedding October in Vancouver, BC (not too far from Seattle!) and recently ordered arrangements from Ling’s Moment. There’s tons of vendors via Etsy or Instagram that can make silk floral bouquets and no one will even know they’re not real flowers. Then for your own bouquet splurge on a really beautiful silk floral bouquet. If you bought $100-$200 worth of greenery you could probably make 10-15 centerpieces out of that. Greenery is extremely cheap too (in comparison to flowers). ![]() My favorite greenery is eucalyptus, lemon leaf, and italian ruscus. It’s sooo much cheaper and still looks gorgeous, especially tucked between votive candles or tall pillar candles. If it doesn’t bother your allergies buy greenery. Here’s what I would suggest: For centerpieces or any other decor don’t do any flowers at all, not silk, wood, or real. However, the more realistic looking faux flowers do cost more, almost as much as splurging for real flowers would cost. Sola wood flowers (depending on the vendor) can make surprisingly beautiful, realistic looking flowers as can certain silk florals. The cheaper silk flowers look just that, cheap. As with anything, you get what you pay for. ![]() I’ve seen my fair share of both silk flowers & sola wood flowers at weddings. Like using Facebook?
